Finding purpose in life when an hereditary syndrome takes your husband and son

In this weeks episode our guest Amber shares her families journey with a rare hereditary syndrome. She was influenced to train as a paediatric nurse when her baby was struggling to thrive and this has helped her throughout to advocate for her family, and for others. After losing both her husband and her son she continued to navigate grief while supporting her other children, two of which are living under the shadow of the same condition. Although family life has endured grief, trauma, anxiety, PTSD to name but a few things she has managed to give her children a normal as possible upbringing, and continues her passion to collaborate information to raise awareness and generate support for others.
