In the raw aftermath of shock and trauma, Hayley shares what those first hours, days and months felt like. How grief had to be suppressed to deal with everything else around her. Mikey's loss re-shaped her life overnight. An honest exploration of how trauma and grief intertwine and how one mother survives the unimaginable, and continues to honour her son through charity work in his name, with community action and advocacy - carrying both grief and purpose side by side.

This is a deeply personal reflection on what happens when grief takes over - and how it changes everything in an instant. Hamish speaks openly and honestly about losing his beautiful young daughter Amelia, and losing the version he knew of himself, amid trauma and crushing sadness grief can strip us down, it dismantles our everyday structures of control, support and basic functioning. Even though grief dismantled his world he reflects on the slow fragile moments that helped him rediscover himself, which reminds us broken lives can continue to grow.

Karen and Bec are thankful that Christmas and New Year is over, and know they are not the only ones who feel his way. The holidays can magnify what and who is missing and the pressure to feel joyful can be exhausting when you are grieving. If you felt relief when the calendar turned doesn't mean you loved any less. Now hopefully we can share our journeys as we try to navigate the New Year where Hope and Grief can coexist.
